A new factory planned by a leading global manufacturing company is expected to generate an aqueous condensate containing around 100 mg/l of 1,4-Dioxane. The water may not be discharged or reused without removal of the dioxane, and the user requires a minimum 98% yield in order to consider water reuse. The user contracted with CeraMem LLC to test water/dioxane samples using ozone, ultrafiltration (UF) and reverse osmosis (RO) at its lab in Waltham (Massachusetts). The test results will enable CeraMem LLC to provide a projected mass balance, the estimated yield of recovered water, and budget pricing for the supply of equipment designed to process 150 m3/day.
