The UF system will treat wastewater from a degreasing bath. Degreasing baths are used as pre-treatment for metal parts prior to electrocoating.<\/p>\n<p>The ultrafiltration system will concentrate the oil and separate it from the wastewater. The wastewater will be sent to a membrane bioreactor (MBR).<\/p>\n<p>The reason for choosing this process and the system designed by Orelis is the performance in the following areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oil filtration by ultrafiltration with ceramic membranes which have proven their effectiveness on this type of water \/ oil separation application (Kleansep<sup>TM<\/sup> BH 300 kD)<\/li>\n<li>Achievement of a high permeate flow, thanks to the choice of membranes and the use of heaters in the working tank to maintain a process fluid temperature of 50-60\u00b0C (122- 140\u00b0F)<\/li>\n<li>The system is equipped with 38 Kleansep<sup>TM <\/sup>membranes with a total area of 13 m\u00b2 (140 ft\u00b2). The unit will process 1 m\u00b3\/h (4.4 gpm)<\/li>\n<li>Compact system construction, including an indexing paper filter on the working tank, upstream of the ultrafiltration membranes<\/li>\n<li>A remote maintenance module via internet<\/li>\n<li>Minimized electric power consumption: pump power can be optimized with use of the variable speed driver, heat recovery by a heat exchanger<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5099\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alsys-group.com\/app\/uploads\/2020\/10\/alsys-image-web-19.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"756\" height=\"567\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.alsys-group.com\/app\/uploads\/2020\/10\/alsys-image-web-19.png 756w, https:\/\/www.alsys-group.com\/app\/uploads\/2020\/10\/alsys-image-web-19-300x225.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 756px) 100vw, 756px\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An automotive industry manufacturer ordered an ultrafiltration system from Orelis Environnement, a subsidiary of the Alsys group.
