Kleansep™ Ceramic Tubular Filtration: Simple, Robust and Sustainable
For more than 33 years, Orelis Environnement, a subsidiary of the ALSYS Group, has been supplying Kleansep™ tubular ceramic membranes, specifically developed to meet industrial needs in water treatment, complex effluent management, and product valorization.
Thanks to their multi-channel structure and porous ceramic composition, Kleansep™ membranes provide a sustainable, high-performance solution that is easy to integrate into a wide range of processes.
A proven technology
Chosen by leading players in the water, food & beverage, chemical, and automotive industries, Kleansep™ membranes are recognized for their robustness and long service life. They ensure high-quality separation while reducing operating costs, due to their easy cleaning and regeneration.
Strengths of Kleansep™
- Outstanding durability: much longer lifetime than polymeric membranes.
- Chemical and mechanical resistance: designed for demanding industrial environments.
- High filtration performance: high permeability due to their highly open porous structure.
- Low maintenance: compatible with hydraulic or chemical cleaning.
- Flexibility: available as individual membranes, complete modules, or compact units.
Wide range of applications
Kleansep™ membranes can be used in a wide range of industrial processes:
- Treatment of oily emulsions (degreasing baths, cold rolling, etc.)
- Treatment and recycling of complex industrial waters (high temperature, pH, etc.)
- Management of challenging effluents
- Product concentration and valorization
- Food & beverage (clarification of wine, juices, broths, sugar, etc.)
- Chemical processing
- Biotechnology
Case studies
- Treatment of oily emulsions from degreasing baths: for a flowrate of 1 m³/h, an unit with 2 K19 modules (6.08 to 12.92 m² filtration surface) is recommended, in UF 300 kD.
- Wine clarification: with a flowrate of 45 hl/h (100 l/m²/h), an unit equipped with one K99 module of 44.55 m² ensures crossflow microfiltration, achieving <1–2 NTU clarity and microbiological stabilization, in MF 0.2 µm.
These cases illustrate the versatility and reliability of Kleansep™ technology, equally suitable for continuous or batch operation.
Three solution levels
- Membrane only – for quick replacement (retrofit).
- Complete module – membranes + stainless-steel housing, ready to integrate into your system.
- Complete unit – with modules, pump, and all necessary equipment for rapid commissioning.
